Pamela and Robby met second day of class in their freshman year in college. Pamela asked if he wanted to be part of a group project and was happy when he agreed. We studied the same major and had many of the same courses which allowed us to study together and learn a lot about each other. Within a few months, we started dating. Robby is easy going, very smart, and balanced. Pamela is thoughtful, driven, and studious. Throughout college, we were supportive of each other through internships, class assignments that overlapped, and helped each other balance workload and fun. After graduation, we took a trip to Europe with Robby’s sister, Marlene, and a few other friends before we started work. To this day, it is one of Pamela’s favorite trips.

We got married a few years after college and both work as engineers in different fields - Robby in the space industry and Pamela in utilities. To end the workday, we got in a habit of doing an evening run together and talking about the day which we still often do. We bounce ideas off of each other, share in successes and it’s just fun to learn about each other a bit each day.

We also value times we can fully get away and unwind. In winter, that has been in the mountains on a winter hike or skiing. In the summer, that is either hiking, doing a trail run or traveling to another location.

Adoption has always held a special, permanent place in Pamela’s heart. While our path to building a family took a few unexpected turns, every step of our journey only deepened our certainty that adoption is exactly how our family is meant to grow. Going through challenges of infertility didn’t discourage us—it actually strengthened our commitment and filled us with an even greater purpose.

We are already surrounded by so much love and laughter! We absolutely adore being the fun "Auntie and Uncle" to our sweet nieces, nephew, and friends' little ones, which has only fueled our excitement to grow our family.

Plus, adoption is already a beautiful part of our family story. Robby’s adoptive cousins, Angelina and Corina, became part of our family shortly after we started dating. They were even the flower girls at our wedding! Pamela and Angelina share a wonderful, close bond, and Angelina recently approached us to consider adoption as part of our journey because of how much it meant to her to be part of our family. We value that your child would be able to grow up with her love, guidance, and shared experience by their side.

We love to be active and outdoors throughout all the seasons. Our favorite local activities include running, hiking, and walking around the neighborhood with our yellow lab, Avery. Our neighborhood is designed for people to get outside with multiple parks, paths, and open space areas walking distance from each street. We often find ourselves taking an evening walk with our dog in the summer or a mid-day winter walk when the Colorado sun is overhead.

We frequently head up into the Rocky Mountains to hike or backpack in warmer months and ski in the winter. For us, each season brings a change in activities and a new reason to be outdoors. We bring our dog, Avery, along for as many of these adventures as we can.

We have a large interest in traveling to new places and going back to others we have explored many times. We recently made it to Tanzania and were able to go on a safari to see more wildlife than we imagined. While in Tanzania we were even able to participate in a trail run on Mount Kilimanjaro. We are always open to last minute opportunities and recently were able to attend a World Cup game in Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Pamela comes from a small family with one sister and 4 cousins. Some of her favorite childhood memories are the annual two‑week trips into the Colorado mountains, where her family spent their days hiking and playing in the late‑spring snow. Pamela's family is out of state but when they visit, we always bond over a hike to enjoy the outdoors.

Robby grew up in a lively family with two sisters and many cousins, and has a nephew and two nieces who bring so much joy to family gatherings. Robby’s family also lives out of state and we make it a priority to travel for birthdays, holidays, and any other reason to get together. When Robby's entire family is around there is always plenty of food, time at the park, and sibling catch up conversations. A few years ago, we joined Robby’s sisters and their husbands in London to explore places connected to Robby’s aunt, who once lived and worked there.

Here in Colorado, we are fortunate to have friends who feel like family. For the past three winters, our close friends Olivia and Chris—and their two young daughters—have spent weekends living with us in a shared rental mountain house to ski, hike, and enjoy the mountain snow. Watching their girls learn to ski and sharing in their adventures has been incredibly special. We’ve known them for more than twelve years, and we are deeply grateful to have them as part of our Colorado family.

We live in a suburb located near Boulder, Colorado. Our neighborhood is very active and the street is filled with kids playing soccer, basketball, and rollerblading outside. We have numerous paths where we love to walk our dog, Avery, do an evening run, and bike to the library. Avery knows these trails by heart and loves exploring the paths around us.

Our semi-split-level home features three bedrooms, two living spaces, a finished basement, and a spacious patio. We love starting our weekend mornings with coffee and Avery in our upper sitting room—a favorite family ritual we call "Morning Couch." On sunny afternoons and evenings, we often relax on the patio while Avery happily sunbathes in the yard. We can't wait to share these peaceful mornings and playful neighborhood adventures with your child!

We have wonderful neighbors and amazing friends nearby for easy group gatherings. Pamela’s favorite holiday hosting activity is our yearly Halloween gathering where we have friends and neighbors over to our home. We often hold this activity in our garage with lots of snacks, dinner, and plenty of candy to hand out to the families out trick-or-treating.

We are Pamela and Robby, and becoming parents is something we have hoped for with full hearts for a very long time. We met when we were just 18 and have been married since 2010. Though our journey to parenthood started with struggles of infertility, it strengthened the hope and wish for a child as part of our family. Our home is filled with laughter, fun, and a love for the outdoors. We spend our weekends hiking, cooking together, and gathering with friends who feel like family. We look forward to sharing these simple joys with a child— teaching them to explore the world, to be kind, and to know they are loved unconditionally.

Family is incredibly important to us. Even though our relatives live out of state, we stay closely connected through frequent visits, holidays, and traditions that we can’t wait to pass on. Here in Colorado, we also have a strong community of friends who have supported us for years and are excited to welcome a child into their lives as well. Our “Colorado family” includes friends with small kids who would be thrilled to have have a “cousin” to play and grow with.

We love spending time outside and hope to pass on that sense of adventure to a child. We love camping, hiking, skiing and running and hope to pass on the love of the outdoors to your child too. We would love to see them learn to ski, set up a tent, or accomplish any task they put their mind to.

If you choose us, your child will grow up surrounded by people who adore them, celebrate them, and encourage them to become exactly who they are meant to be. We promise to provide a home that is safe, stable, and full of warmth. We will honor their story, speak of you with respect and gratitude, and ensure they always know how deeply they were loved from the very beginning.

If you decide to make an adoption plan, we want to assure you that we would respect and honor whatever level of openness that you want to have with your child. We would of course send letters and photos, email updates or phone calls, and if you’re willing, also believe that in person visits would be lovely as well.
