We like going to the park or going on walks every day. We like watching television, playing video and board games, and spending time with friends and family.

Erik belongs to the Knights of Columbus, and they raise money for the poor and disabled. Some of the ways they raise this money is by standing outside grocery stores with charity cups at various times of the year, and by making wreaths and selling them along with trees at Christmas time.

We both like going to the gym on a regular basis, we like going to museums, sporting events, carnivals, and theme parks. We like going to the movies or just throwing a ball outside, or even getting into a Nerf gun fight.

During the holiday season every year, we go out and buy clothes and toys for a Christmas Angel - an underprivileged child that would not have presents for Christmas without the help of this program.

Erik About Laurie: Laurie is the most thoughtful, kind-hearted, funny girl a guy could marry. When her Mom got sick, she quit her job to take care of her Mom full time without even giving a thought about her own needs. She makes people laugh all the time, and makes the best lasagna and cheesecake in the whole world. She is very generous, wholesome, and has impeccable integrity. She likes to put little notes telling me she is proud of me in places she knows I will go. I know she will be a great mother because she will do things like this for our child as well.

Laurie About Erik: Erik has a great compassion for others, and is always the first to volunteer to help out when someone is in need. He is a very thoughtful person. For example, when we go bowling, he will try to get lane 13 because that is my favorite number. I love his silliness. He constantly makes my cheeks hurt from smiling. He does little silly dances and always cracks me up. And it complements me because I like to be silly too. Our marriage works because we are best friends and are always making each other laugh. I have no doubt Erik will be a devoted and loving father.

Becoming a parent is our reason to live. We feel the meaning of life is to make other people's lives better, and what better way than to raise a child with high moral values so this world can become a better place.

We want to fill our child's life with lots of love, laughter, happiness, and toys. We want to fill our child's head and heart with knowledge and wisdom. We want to take our child to many different places like museums, Disney World, nature parks, camping grounds, and zoos, so he/she can experience all life has to offer.

We want to teach our child selfless Christian values, to treat every human life equally, and respect all living creatures. We want teach our child that it is important to help others. We are looking forward to seeing the world through a child's eyes as he/she sees everything for the first time. We are excited to watch our child's personality develop, and to nurture the child's dreams so all of the child's aspirations come true.

Our home is located in a peaceful, family friendly subdivision in Indiana. We bought this house with the intention of starting a family and turning the house into a home. We live in a four-bedroom house that is only four years old, and it has a nice loft area that is perfect for kids to play. Our house is close to a cul-de-sac, so we do not have many cars driving by, which makes our street safer for kids.

Our neighborhood is just a few years old, and all the homes have younger families with young kids. Each year we have a block party with an Icee machine and a bouncey castle.

We also have a park two blocks away that has a swing set, playground and an area where they play baseball, and another park one mile away that is used to play soccer. There is a good school three miles from our house.

We live within an hour's drive from a major city, so its easy for us to go to a sporting event, a museum, a play, or experience anything that a major city would offer.

Family is the most important thing to us. All of our extended family is within driving distance. We have dinner with our parents every weekend. Laurie has three brothers, and they all have families. We try to get together with their families as often as possible, especially on birthdays and holidays.

We like going to our nephews' sporting events, or going over to our niece's house to listen to her play her guitar. We also go with them to the zoo, to a museum, or to the movies on a regular basis. Laurie always makes homemade desserts for the holidays for our families. We also have family game nights where we play board games together.

Our parents are overjoyed with the opportunity to spend time helping us to raise this child. Laurie's brothers and their wives are looking forward to an addition to the family. And our oldest nephew can't wait to spend time teaching him/her to play sports.

Although we do not know anything about you or the hardships you have gone through, we want to thank you and commend you for the loving and decision you are considering. We also want to thank you for taking the time to learn more about us and for considering us as your adoptive family. We want you to know that we plan on making sure you have an abundance of pictures of our child, and you will be well-informed about every high point in our child's life. And by "our child," we mean yours and ours, as you will always be the biological mother, and an irreplaceable piece of this child's life.

Our names are Laurie and Erik. We met in 2011, and have been together ever since. We have been married since 2013. We want you to know that our primary goal in this life is to make sure our child has an abundance of love, laughter, and happiness in his or her life; that this child will receive a wonderful education; that they will see many places and things and get many opportunities to experience a large variety of what life has to offer. Also, we will make sure our child learns to become a good Christian that treats every human life equally, respect all living creatures, shares with her/his friends, never hates, and donates some of his/her time to charitable causes.

We want you to know that we plan to fuel our child's hopes and dreams, whatever those aspirations may be. While it is fun to dream that one day our child becomes the next record-breaking Olympic star or President of the United States, whatever path our child chooses, we guarantee that child will make a big splash in this world. Erik's parents devoted much of their time getting involved in Boy Scouts and helped him to become not just an Eagle Scout, but the Eagle Scout that earned the most merit badges in his troop. Laurie's mom always spent time with her, helping her with her homework, so she could become the intelligent, successful woman she is today. We also plan on being the parents that put our child first, will guide our child in choosing the right direction, and be the fuel to their dreams, but allow him/her to drive the direction he/she would like to go.

Family is very important to us. Erik helps his parents around their house all the time, and has even helped Laurie's parents by doing things like buying a new A/C unit and installing it. Erik also goes to visit his 92-year-old aunt in the nursing home each week, and donates much of his time to the Knights of Columbus, a charity group that helps the poor and handicapped. Laurie quit work and spend a full year helping her mom get back to normal after she had a heart attack, and will be just as selfless and work just as hard to care about our child.

We appreciate the sacrifice you are considering making, and we will all pray for you every day. We have been looking forward to bringing a child into our home for a long time, and we have been praying every day not only for being blessed with a healthy child, but for the health and well being of, you, the birth mother. We know that this decision brings uncertainty, but we want to do our best to assure you that we are ready to take this journey with you. We are two very selfless individuals, we work as a team, and we like to spend much of our time laughing and being silly. You can't find two people that will be better parents.
